About Me

[Read in 2 mins.]

Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Eula, Filipino-Canadian who wants to share my travels with you. I was born and raised in the Philippines until 14 years old and then moved to Canada.

My life in the Philippines was a simple one. I’m actually what Filipinos call a Pinatubo baby because my family and I lived in Tarlac then relocated to Laguna due to Mount Pinatubo eruption in 1991. Therefore, my childhood was mostly in Laguna.

At the age of 14, my family moved to Ontario, Canada. I finished high school and university graduating with an engineering degree at the University of Waterloo.

You can say that I travelled at an early age because of the move. Though I would say the ‘bite’ happened in 2012 when I went on a Study Abroad program in U.K. I studied for six months at the University of Leeds. I met many people from all over the world and realized, there’s a lot more out there (people, places, and food) than just Canada. It lead me to see a lot of England and the rest of the UK (yes, I can say I’ve been to all 4 ‘kingdoms’). I traveled to EU countries Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and the travel didn’t stop there.

When I graduated from university back in 2014, I did the what everyone calls it: the grad-trip and went to Europe again to visit my exchange friends. Visiting international friends is a great way to save up on travel. I visited my friends in Spain, Czech Republic, explored more of Germany and the Netherlands.

Then, I worked in Virginia, U.S.A. for about 3 years. I explored DMV (D.C. – Maryland – Virginia) area and did all the local and tourist things. Explored a lot of the East Coast. Frequent New York trips, visited the Hamptons, and roamed around Virginia.

After working in the professional field for a year, I did a two month trip to South East Asia. I back-packed for two weeks in Vietnam and Thailand. I learned so much about the Asian cultures and got to see so many places. Crossed the Singapore-Malaysia border via Johor Bahru, Malaysia. ATV-ed up my way to see the Big Buddha in Phuket, Thailand.

Basically, I created this blog to share my travels in the hopes of inspiring others as how others inspired me.
